The band is the unquestionable top of the Belarusian rock – many claim it to be the closest successor of the legendary NRM.

The music of this Minsk-based collective  is a combination of rock style, elements of rap-core, a characteristic sound of saxophone and a mixture of guitar  sounds with rap vocals.

The lyrics of IQ48 comment on the everyday life of Belarusian youngsters; they tell stories of the generation of today's 20-year-olds  – their inspirations, problems and anxieties. Although they cannot be directly associated with politics, the band quickly became one of those forbidden by the Lukaszenko regime. Nowadays, it is easier to see them live abroad than in their own country...
