The band began to be formed long before the term “world music” was heard of in this part of the world. It was foundaded by a group of artists from the independent music scene in Prague who shared a common fascination of the African sound and rhytm. Years of profound studies and experimenting with different music genres had an extraordinary result: Hypnotix – a vibrant mixture of rhythm, spiritual lyrics and an interesting clash of     eastern instruments and modern technology.

You may call their music style afro, or dub, or trans, or electro, but surely it does not even remotely resemble Karel Gott or Helena Vondráčkova…
